Takara Sake USA was established in 1982 in Berkeley, California. The main products produced there are "Sho Chiku Bai" brand of sake, "Takara Mirin," and plum wine.


Takara Sake USA blends pure water from the show cagged Sierra Nevada Mountains and superior rice from the fertile Sacramento Valley. These prime ingredients are combined using traditional, sake-making craftsmanship of Fushime and modern technology, to produce a sake worthy of the Takara mark.

Various products like premium sake and shochu are imported from the parent company in Japan. Takara Sake USA also features a unique Tasting Room and Sake Museum in Berkeley where the public are introduced to different types of sake, and can learn about the Japanese culture.
